      And then this was it. Sean's final bow (It was about time too, because we were sick of that bowing crap after every show). Anyway, we got to Drifters for our first show there, and loaded our gear in. The club was a little sleepy and empty, and remained that way as we waited for the show to begin.
      To backtrack a bit, this was our first road trip of Lowfive 2.0 (coincidentally Sean's last). We split it up oldschool with the little guys (plus visiting Texan Kirsten Lawson) in one car, and Runningbear and all of our gear (including femme-roadie Jess) crammed into the Explorer2. Aside from not having directions, the trip went according to a mental plan I had previously drawn up. Anyway, back to the Nashua.
      Brady Carlson opened the set with some one-man electric guitar singing/songwriting. I was out of vision manning our merch, but from what I could hear, it was decent. According to Gabe, the guy was a great songwriter. Too bad he didn't have a crowd there to hear it.
      We were up next, and just to make it memorable, Sean messed up the setlist, broke a string, and even caused Jason to break a string all within the first 3 songs. I was a little disappointed with the sound in the club, because I couldn't even hear myself with the stage monitors. Contrary to what I've been told, there actually ARE shows when I am happy and can hear myself. This just didn't happen to be one of them. I played pretty well, except for some SLOPPINESS (that rivaled the entire band's) in 1913. And then it was over.
      And then a cowboy metal band called Still Well Angel went on. The guitarist was a hot chick. We should ask her to play guitar as Sean's replacement.
      Closing the show was local indie-rock quartet Go Mordecai. As coincidence would have it, they were initially scheduled to play with us the day before in South Paris at the Young Idea show, but ended up not fitting on the bill. These guys are a young band, and given time they will probably get really good. And as it is now, anything they lack musically/as a band unit they more than make up for in energy and stage show. They are just plain enjoyable to watch. Handstands, 1/4 splits, pig-squealing, and microphone clobbering, topped off with a brutal (yet ever so gentle) destruction of the stage/equipment really left those of us in attendance asking for more, possibly. We had a nice chat with the band and a few other audience participants after this was all over, concluding the good times.
      Also, serious thanks goes out to Higgins, as this show marked the conclusion of good times on a completely different level. Thanks for these good times. You haven't been replaced yet, but we're still looking.
