      After a few days off from the real world (translation: living in the basement at Matt's aunt's house) we drove out to Plaistow NH to play at the Sad Cafe. This was our first time there, and we were impressed at the legitimacy of the club. it was a really nice setup, and we actually played with other bands (it's true! the venue actually booked MULTIPLE bands!). Best of all, we were joined by labelmate Ben Kindberg who followed his friend Jared Adams in an acoustic set that rocked the socks off those in attendance. In a spur of the moment event, Gabe went up onstage and sang lead vocals for a cover of "Say It Ain't So" that proved the age old equation: perfect strangers + no practice = 'great' music. Maybe if either gentleman is secure enough with his ability, they'll let you hear the recording someday. Other than that, it's locked away for good.
      Lowfive went on right after Ben and played a nice set. I was actually happy with the way things turned out. Perhaps a decent club with the proper stage equipment promotes a better performance? Who knows! We played a shortened set, and only got through 40 minutes or so of material before tearing down and leaving the stage for a young group of guys called Yesterday's Scandal, who did a decent job considering that it was their second show.
      We got packed up and out of there by 11pm or so, setting us up for a night on the road. Things went smoothly until 4am, when we drove through a bombastic electric storm. From there on home it was quite the exciting drive. We've got video footage, so maybe we'll get some snaps up some time.
