      As is the pattern for any of our band trips, we had a rough start on our way down to The Well in Portland. We started later than expected, and had a little incident where Matt (we like to call him 'Old Reliable') left Sean's [borrowed] footswitch on the trunk of our second car. He remembered to take it off, but that was 15 minutes in to the drive, and the laws of physics had already taken care of that matter for him. Needless to say, the pedal was toast, and Sean had to use his backup.
      Anyway, we were relieved when we arrived in Portland to find that the venue had cancelled the night's events due to both a "severe weather warning" and the fact that they'd forgotten to book any other bands besides Lowfive. They apologized, and of course that made it all better. Who wants a successful cd release show anyway? But there is good news, in that we actually went through with the show, and played for approximately 10 people who stuck around despite the manager telling them that we weren't coming. Kudos to those fans.
